About me
I am a social psychologist and post-doctoral researcher at the Psychology Department of FernUniversität in Hagen.
Research interest: I study perception, attitudes and behavior towards individuals from different social groups to examine the psychological foundations of social division and social cohesion. I take a multilevel approach that links individual cognitive and motivational processes to social, regional, and institutional contexts. This work identifies how systematic variation in social norms, discrimination, and experiences of belonging emerges across contexts.
Research Methods: Experimental paradigms, eye- and mouse-tracking, meta-analysis, multilevel modeling, multiverse analyses, large-scale regional datasets, implicit measures, cognitive tasks (e.g., shooter tasks, gaze cueing), and development of novel behavioral paradigms.
Education: I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology (Diplom Psychologie) at Universität des Saarlandes in Saarbrücken. In my Diploma thesis, I investigated links between syneasthesia and memory for sounds and images. I received my Ph.D in Social Psychology at Universität Hamburg. In my dissertation thesis, I investigated cognitive processes underlying memory for faces from different social groups.
